Clam AV Does not come with a GUI by default so you must use the Terminal to use it.
How ever you can install Clam TK which will add a GUI front for Clam AV you can install it in any package manager but a more update version can be found on the website
After I try to update the definitions I can see in the log that it's failing and somehow not able to connect. because there's no way to see all details in the log viewer ..
I find the following ..warning updater Update Failed: Your network may be down or none of the mirrors listed in /var/packages/Anti Virus/target/engine/clamav/etc/is working. When I follow the link to the documentation, I get a 404 error; not even the documentation is available.
When you see the prompt again, that will mean the scan is finished and that you can open the file it has created to check any infected file detected in your system.

Hopefully, you should be able to see "virus definitions last updated on ..." reflecting a more recent date. I running DSM 5.0-4493 Update 5 on DS412 , and updated the Antivirus Essential package to version 1.3-2328 recently.
The AV "provider" looks to be an open source project which hasn't even gotten to a major release yet .. If you need AV on the device, find another solution.
Next we are going to manually download the latest signatures from clamav’s website and place them into the proper location in Ubuntu.
Once installed search for Virus scanner and open to use. Note that the packages may not be completely functional and are supported by the community only.
